How a harmless message becomes a rumour.

Scroll through the chain. The words get stronger while the evidence gets weaker.

01
“A local office published a notice.”Specific source. Limited scope. This is where the trail begins.
02
“Residents in this area may qualify.”The source link disappears, but the location remains.
03
“Everyone can get help. Register now.”The claim grows wider. Urgency enters the message.
04
“Share before it is deleted!”The pressure to forward has replaced the evidence.
Frequently asked questions

Let's make it clear.

About the checker, hoax signals, and how to use results.

What is idberita?

idberita is a browser-based claim signal checker for information in Indonesia. It identifies language and link patterns that deserve closer checking; it does not declare truth by itself.

Does this checker actually detect hoaxes?

The checker does not claim that a message is true or false. It scores observable language and link signals locally, then tells you what to verify next.

Are checker results always right?

No. Signal checks can miss context or new tricks. Treat results as a prompt to verify, not as a final judgment.

What information can I try?

Enter a claim or link to receive a real browser-side signal analysis. Links are inspected as URLs only; the destination is not opened.

Is the text I enter saved?

The checker runs in your browser. The text you enter is not sent to a server or retained after reloading the page.

Read critically. Share responsibly.
